Our inspection may disclose illegal, old or deteriorating wiring and shoddy or amateur workmanship, cracks in foundations, rotten weatherboards and windowframes, leaking roofs, leaning chimneys and rusty spouting. Where at all possible, we crawl under houses to examine joists, piles and bearers and onto roofs to inspect the condition of rooming material, flashings, flues and chimneys. We go into roof spaces to investigate roof and ceiling support, insulation and header tanks. Our written report provides information on water pressure, hot water cylinders, fireplaces, solid fuel heating appliances, outbuildings. In fact we check hundreds of items including paths, driveways, garages, retaining walls, fences, drains, gully traps, eaves, soffits, barge boards, fascia and guttering.
